Event Merchandising named Master Licensee for the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships

Event Merchandising Limited has been appointed to take over as the Master Licensee for the highly anticipated 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships in Glasgow and Scotland. This role encompasses the management of wholesale, licensing, and retail programmes, as well as venue retail operations (for non-cycling retail products) throughout the event, scheduled to take place from 3-13 August 2023.

The 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships is set to be the largest cycling event in history, featuring 13 UCI World Championships held in various locations across Glasgow and Scotland. As the Master Licensee, Event Merchandising will take charge of delivering and retailing (non-cycling) licensed products through the official venue shops, local and national retail outlets, and the dedicated online store at shop.cyclingworldchamps.com.

One of the highlights of the range is the Highland Coo plush toy, along with locally inspired Scottish products including a dedicated tartan, designed especially for the event and crafted by Lochcarron of Scotland. Lochcarron had the honour of hosting a visit from his majesty King Charles III and Queen Camilla recently, where they showcased their commitment to ethical and sustainable practices.

Jeremy Goldsmith, Managing Director of Event Merchandising said, “We are thrilled and honoured to have been appointed as the Master Licensee for the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships. With our extensive event experience, we have a retail presence in multiple locations around Scotland, with the grand Superstore located in George Square. We look forward to activating the retail and merchandise programme that will undoubtedly captivate cycling enthusiasts around the world.”

Stuart Turner, Chief Operating Officer of the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships added: “Our retail and merchandise ranges are an important part of the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships experience for fans and visitors, and we’re delighted to welcome Event Merchandise on board to deliver this element of the event. We are sure the range of products will appeal to our audiences who will be keen to take home a lasting memory of this very special, inaugural event and of Scotland.”

The 2023 UCI Cycling Worlds will feature 13 high-adrenaline, exciting UCI World Championships including Track and Para-cycling Track at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, BMX Racing at Glasgow BMX Centre, BMX Freestyle (Park and Flatland) and Trials at Glasgow Green, Indoor Cycling (artistic cycling and cycle-ball) at the Emirates Arena, Mountain Bike Cross-country, and Cross-country Marathon in Glentress Forest, Tweed Valley, Mountain Bike Downhill in Fort William and Road and Para-cycling Road across Scotland.
