Thelwell Celebrates its Centenary

The 2023 centenary has been a busy year so far for The Thelwell Estate team! We have reminisced with familiar friends and also introduced Norman’s art to new audiences, via exhibitions, talks, extensive press coverage, plus some fresh collaborations including some new hairy pony ambassadors!

Thelwell stockists have had a great year with sales of several of these iconic bronze garden sculptures from Robert James.

“New products to help celebrate the centenary were launched by Hy Equestrian, Countryside Greetings and FabDabDo. We have welcomed new editions of much-loved books, Penelope Rides Again and The Effluent Society. Looking ahead, next year we will welcome another exciting collection of bedlinen coming from Noveltex.  We were delighted to have the opportunity to sponsor not one, but two stables in our inaugural year supporting the Shetland Pony Grand National, the home of ‘hairy pony’ racing and all for a very good cause, the Bob Champion Cancer Trust.
