Sinking Ship Entertainment’s Licensing Program for ODD SQUAD Grows With New Products

Canada’s Sinking Ship Entertainment (SSE) announces the exciting new ODD SQUAD products hitting the market in 2024: a kids’ meal toy program, French-language books and two new colouring books. Big moves for the beloved Emmy® Award-winning franchise this year, including the previously announced ODD SQUAD UK series format slated to launch later this Fall.

France TV Distribution has brokered a deal with French publishing arm Larousse to create and distribute new ODD SQUAD books across that territory. The first two books are already available, and another three books will be slated for release this fall. The television series is popular on France TV, frequently landing in the top 10 kids’ programs. In the U.S., SSE has partnered with BRAUM’s, the ice cream and restaurant chain with over 300 locations, to launch a kids’ meal toy program in Q2 of 2024.  Additionally, Really Big Coloring Books®, Inc. has released two new books in the U.S. for the retail, promotional and wholesale markets, including PBS Affiliates, Walmart.com, Amazon.com, ColoringBook.com and more. The company will have an additional 8-12 ODD SQUAD items by mid-summer 2024, all set for distribution throughout the US.

ODD SQUAD’s enduring messages of teamwork and collaboration are evergreen” says Tanya Mason, Manager of Consumer and Ancillary Products. “These new partnerships and products aim to meet kids where they are and complement the brand’s multiplatform and licensing approach to connecting with global audiences.”

ODD SQUAD features kid agents who use math to investigate strange occurrences, with episodes infused with comedy and fun. The original hit multi-Emmy® Award-winning series, produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment and Fred Rogers Productions for PBS KIDS and TVOKids, launched in 2014. ODD SQUAD UK, co-produced by BBC Studios Kids & Family and Sinking Ship Entertainment, features a brand-new world of oddness and group of agents with a predominantly British cast filmed exclusively in the UK, and is set to launch in 2024.
