Electric Entertainment Names Firefly Brand Management as Licensing Agent for “The Librarians: The Next Chapter”
Dean Devlin’s Electric Entertainment announce that the leading brand management and licensing agent, Firefly Brand Management, has been named the exclusive US licensing agent for their new forthcoming series, The Librarians: The Next Chapter, which will premiere in the Fall of 2024 on The CW.
Firefly will seek licensing partners in key product categories, including publishing (novels and comics), calendars/journals, apparel, costumes, backpacks, collectibles, energy drinks, board games, watches, and jewelry.
The series is a spin-off of the beloved 2014 Librarians TV series, which ran for four seasons on TNT. The franchise premiered in 2004 with the made for TV movie, The Librarian: Quest for the Spear. Due to its tremendous popularity, The Librarian: Return to King Solomon’s Mines was created and broadcast in 2006. Then in 2008, The Librarian: Curse of the Judas Chalice completed the movie trilogy.

THE LIBRARIANS: THE NEXT CHAPTER is a spinoff of the original TV series “The Librarians,” which followed the adventures of the custodians of a magical repository of the world’s most powerful and dangerous supernatural artifacts. The new series centers on a “Librarian” from the past, who time traveled to the present and now finds himself stuck here. When he returns to his castle, which is now a museum, he inadvertently releases magic across the continent. He is given a new team to help him clean up the mess he made, forming a new team of Librarians.
