License Global Releases Top Global Licensing Agents Report 2024

License Global releases the annual edition of The Top Global Licensing Agents report, which ranks the world’s leading brand licensing and extension agencies, highlighting the biggest agencies that drive revenue for the business of brand licensing and licensed consumer products.

License Global’s Top Global Licensing Agents report charts the annual retail activity of 50 leading brand licensing agencies to gauge market health and indicate trends in the business.The total global retail sales represented by brand licensing agents totals $93.63 billion, a $5.70 billion increase from the previous year.

This year’s top 20 global licensing agents generated a cumulative $85.24 billion globally of licensed goods at retail, with the top 10 representing $69.60 billion of that.

The top 10 agents are:

  3. Beanstalk – $10.10B
  4. LMCA – $7.73B
  5. Brand Central – $3.90B
  6. Global Icons – $3.90B
  7. WildBrain CPLG – $3.60B
  8. CLC – $3.54B
  9. Brandgenuity – $3.00B
  10. The Joester Loria Group – $2.80B 

Licensing continues to grow internationally, and the report highlights top agents by region, noting sales revenue of licensed consumer product generated by agents at retail. North America came in first with $78.42 billion of sales, followed by Asia-Pacific ($8.30 billion), Europe ($5.26 billion) and Latin America with $1.64 billion.

The Top Global Licensing Agents report surveyed its respondents for key market insights, asking agents what consumer product categories make up future brand strategies for licensing agents in 2024 and beyond. Fashion and apparel received the most responses with 69% interest for future licensed consumer goods and brand extensions. Food and beverage followed (51%), then toys and games (46%), health and beauty (32%), footwear and accessories (28%), location-based entertainment (26%) and home décor (26%) were all identified as the leading categories for product expansion in the future.

Additionally, the 2024 report survey forecasts up-and-coming consumer product categories, aiming to provide a deeper look into the strategies that will drive consumer purchases and the best ways to extend brands to create the most impact.
