Studio 100 International to Produce “Arnie & Barney”

Studio 100 International has announced the production of “Arnie & Barney”, an exhilarating animated adventure based on two beloved yet unlikely heroes. This project, a comedic journey full of slapstick, marks the first major spin-off as a completely new and fresh take from the successful “Maya the Bee” franchise. Targeting older audiences, including, kids, teens, and families, delivery is planned for Q1-2026 with Studio 100 Film handling global sales. 

Produced by Studio 100 International, together with Studio Isar Animation and 3 Doubles Producciones as service partner, “Arnie & Barney” promises a blend of action, humor, friendship, and heroism. The movie brings the hilarious antics of the ants Arnie and Barney, two iconic characters, to the forefront, which are voiced by the renowned Australian and international comedy phenomenon, Shane Dundas and David Collins aka The Umbilical Brothers. Named as two of Entertainment Weekly’s “100 Most Creative People in Entertainment”, they have also contributed to the script written by Fin Edquist (“200% Wolf”, “100% Wolf”, “Maya the Bee” movie trilogy) and to the outstanding comedy of the movie. The voice recording has already been completed, ensuring that the comedic essence of the duo shines throughout the film. “Arnie & Barney” delivers sharp, pop-culture-infused humor with thrilling heroics, making it a fun-filled ride for all ages.
