Reesee Entertainment appoints Pebble Zhang to strengthen licensing

China-based children’s entertainment, licensing and media company Reesee Entertainment has appointed Pebble Zhang (pictured) as its VP of Licence Business Division to strengthen the division and expand its activity.

Zhang joins Reesee from Alpha Group, where she was Licence Business Department GM responsible for a large roster of IP including Superwings, Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf, and Smiley. Prior to that, she gained a wealth of experience in marketing across a range of categories in managerial roles at Walmart China.

In this brand-new role, which she started in early October, Zhang is responsible for strengthening Reesee’s licence business division through consumer products licensing, location-based entertainment development, theme parks, promotions and more. She is also a joint partner in the company’s licensing and merchandise branch, and reports to Ray Wang, CEO and founder of Reesee Entertainment.

Pebble Zhang said: “I’m really happy to be joining Reesee, an exciting young company with a great reputation for quality and creativity, in this motivational new role. I’m looking forward to forging new opportunities for its IP and further expanding and consolidating the work of the division.”

Ray Wang said: “We are delighted to welcome Pebble Zhang to Reesee Entertainment. Her enviable knowledge and experience will help to grow our fantastic properties and enable them to connect with ever more people.”

Founded in 2018 by Ray Wang, former President of Alpha International and Chief Content Officer of Alpha Group, Reesee Entertainment is an IP creation and operation company whose business scope includes kids & family content creation, media distribution, toy development and distribution, and merchandising and licensing.
