Dr. Seuss Enterprises Announces Licensing Team Promotions
Dr. Seuss Enterprises has announced the promotions of Jimeka Broussard to Director of Licensing, North America and Jenna Marson to Director of Licensing for international markets. These strategic appointments underscore Dr. Seuss Enterprises’ commitment to expanding its global footprint and enhancing its licensing initiatives across both domestic and international markets.
In their new roles, both Broussard and Marson will develop and manage a unified product licensing strategy aimed at generating innovative programs that leverage the Dr. Seuss brand. Collaborating closely with the VP of Operations, Ellie Terveen, their efforts will focus on enhancing the overall licensing and retail strategy, and maximizing market presence and engagement while ensuring all initiatives stay central to the brand’s core mission of delivering high-quality, educational, and entertaining products.
Jimeka Broussard will oversee the U.S. and Canadian strategy, leading the domestic Licensing & Sales team. Since joining Dr. Seuss Enterprises nearly three years ago, Jimeka has demonstrated exceptional leadership, propelling domestic licensing to new heights and exceeding revenue targets each year. Her significant contributions include expanding the Dr. Seuss portfolio across key categories such as Apparel & Accessories, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), and Toys & Games. She also spearheaded Dr. Seuss’s entry into new categories like Food & Beverage and facilitated key partnerships and collaborations with industry leaders, including General Mills, Krispy Kreme, Uber Eats, Supreme, and Justice.
Leading the international licensing team, Jenna Marson will oversee all markets outside North America while driving the international strategy for Dr. Seuss. With a nine-year tenure at the company, Jenna has held several positions across key areas of the business, including marketing, publishing, and licensing. Under Jenna’s management, the licensee base has grown significantly. She has led the expansion of licensing programs in Europe, securing new direct deals in Spain, Italy, France, the Netherlands, and Denmark. Jenna also orchestrated the company’s entry into Latin America and is set to lead the entry into the Asia-Pacific region in 2025.
Jimeka Broussard stated: “Stepping into this new role is an exciting opportunity to elevate our licensing efforts across North America. I’m passionate about harnessing the strong legacy of Dr. Seuss to introduce innovative products that resonate with our audience. My goal is to cultivate strategic partnerships that trend forward and explore diverse avenues that reflect the creativity and values inherent to our brand.”
Jenna Marson commented: “Leading our international licensing division is an exciting endeavor and I’m eager to extend our brand presence into new and emerging markets. To be successful you need to understand how a brand resonates with fans across diverse cultures, and we aim to create enriching experiences worldwide by building on our existing global relationships and tapping into unique regional opportunities. Fun is universal, and our characters definitely bring the fun!”
Susan Brandt, President and CEO of Dr. Seuss Enterprises, said, “Jimeka Broussard and Jenna Marson have both been instrumental in driving Dr. Seuss Enterprises’ licensing strategy across the globe. They each bring dynamic industry expertise, and they demonstrate a clear commitment to preserving the integrity of the Dr. Seuss brand as we continue to grow. Their promotions exemplify the quality of their work to date as well as their vision for the future.”
