Naughty Naughty Pets Makes a Return to the Toy Aisles!

Fans of the whimsical, mischievous, and utterly charming Naughty Naughty Pets will be delighted to hear that the beloved collection is officially relaunching in 2026, just in time for its 25th Silver Anniversary celebration. Originally introduced in 2001, these endearing and quirky pet characters, created by talented artist and author NYC-based Wendy Ann Gardner, are set to captivate a new generation with their unique charm and playful personalities.
Naughty Naughty Pets was first known for its 2-Dimensional Designer plush sold at Design shops, exclusive boutiques and specialty stores like Fred Siegel, MOMA and Collette in Paris. Fans will remember the delightful characters such as “Dig Ivan Dig,” a Pug with an insatiable digging problem; “Jacques Rockstar,” a howling singer with rockstar ambitions; “Daisy Peekypoo,” a skittish snorting Chihuahua; “Blue Burt,” a kleptomaniac budgie bird; and “Naughty Naughty Kiefer,” a Tabby Cat who gained fame as the key character in the 2015 musical “Windywoo and Her Naughty Naughty Pets.”
In addition to the plush toys, the Naughty Naughty Pets franchise expanded into a range of bunnies plush, toy, pet accessories and seasonal novelty products sold as “Bunny Business” for Easter at Target Stores in 2006, as well as a series of animated cartoon shorts produced by Decode Entertainment and CBC, which were broadcast on Cartoon Network, translated into 7 languages and syndicated globally.
Now, under the marketing guidance of Charlie Day and Stephen Stanley of Sharpe Matrix Licensing Group, Naughty Naughty Pets is poised for a grand comeback. The new range of collectible character toys will be licensed to feature a fresh three-dimensional look, complete with collectible trading cards and accessories that highlight each character’s naughty (and somewhat melodramatic) backstories, all set within their vibrant apartment block in New York City.
Wendy Ann Gardner, the creative genius behind Naughty Naughty Pets, expressed her excitement about the relaunch: “I am thrilled to see Naughty Naughty Pets come to life again with a fresh look. It’s amazing to think that these characters will continue to bring joy and laughter to old and new fans alike.”
The Sharpe Matrix Licensing Group has strategically timed the relaunch to coincide with the 25th Silver Anniversary celebration of Naughty Naughty Pets. With a new generation of fans eagerly awaiting their return, these delightful characters are set to once again charm their way into the hearts of pet lovers and toy collectors everywhere.
