The First British Toy Company to Win Toy of The Year at the 25th Anniversary TOTY Awards, New York
WOW! Stuff has cemented its place in toy industry history as the first-ever British toy company to win two Toy of The Year (TOTY) Awards in a single year. At the 25th Anniversary of the prestigious TOTY Awards, hosted by the Toy Association (America) in New York, the company’s revolutionary Disney Stitch Puppetronic by RealFX took home both the coveted Toy of The Year and Tech Toy of The Year titles, an unprecedented achievement for a UK based brand.
Building on the success of the 2024 genre-defining hit, Disney Stitch Puppetronic by RealFX continues to push the boundaries of play. This ground-breaking dual-play technology further cemented Puppetronics as a new toy category that combines classic puppetry with leading edge technology in electronics. Since its launch in June, the toy has captivated consumers, retailers, and licensors alike, with the product consistently selling out across markets. These two awards add to the company’s trophy cabinet following multiple trade and consumer awards worldwide, including the Innovation Award at this year’s European Brand Licensing Awards, The Toy Insiders’ ‘HOT 20’ Top Toy recognition in the US, Gold at the Independent Toy Awards, and ‘The Ultimate Toy Award’ in Australia. Most recently, the Disney Stitch Puppetronic by RealFX was unveiled as the UK’s Toy of The Year in January and was named as one of the Toy Retailers Association’s ‘Dream Toys’ in November 2024.
