
Finsbury Food Group and Universal Studios Renew Partnership

Finsbury has announced the renewal of its partnership with Universal Studios for a brand-new range of celebration cakes.
Alongside current favourites, including Minions, Gabby’s Dollhouse and Jurassic World, Finsbury is excited to introduce new cakes to their roster, including brand new celebration cakes to celebrate the launches of hit films such as Wicked.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to continue this relationship with Universal.” said Brand Licensing Manager Andrew Scott. “Having performed immensely well in retail, the effort that has been put into making the partnership successful has shown in the quality of the products. Working with Universal Studios to bring these cakes to life has been a pleasure, and with new additions to the line, we can keep our finger on the pulse of what consumers really want.”
Launching in late September, Finsbury is particularly excited about releasing its new Wicked cake, inspired by the film. Based on the musical of the same name, the picture has been welcomed with open arms by fans of the musical and the public, earning it several awards, accolades, widespread critical acclaim, and a spectacular box office run.
Now, with a sequel entitled ‘Wicked: For Good’ arriving in late 2025, the cake serves as the perfect tie-in to celebrate both pictures, and the Finsbury team have been working its magic to ensure it lives up to public expectations and their rigorous design standards.
