AMAZON MGM UNVEIL PROGRAM FOR FALLOUT
Amazon MGM Studios announced today a multifaceted licensing program for the upcoming, post-apocalyptic series, Fallout, which is exclusively premiering on Prime Video on April 11thand is based on the best-selling global video game franchise.
Fifteen licensing partners across categories including apparel, accessories, collectibles, beverage, and more are part of the launch for the merchandising program, along with an Amazon storefront where visitors can indulge their Fallout fandom. The robust line-up will help form the foundation for the evolving Fallout franchise where fans of the series can continue to enjoy the characters and storylines once they finish their binge of the initial season. The licensing program is inspired by the new storylines and characters from the upcoming Prime Video series.
Jamie Kampel, Head of Consumer Products Licensing for Amazon MGM Studios, said, “Our goal for the Fallout licensing program, as well as other beloved IP, is to create opportunities for fans to dive deeper into the characters and worlds they love.” She added, “Through the program we are creating, we are aiming to appeal both to existing Fallout fans as well as new audiences that are discovering the world of Fallout through our series. By working closely with the producers of the series we are delivering authentic and creative products to market through our licensees.”
On the Fallout Amazon Storefront fans will find a variety of merchandise from licensing partners as well as Amazon Merch-on-Demand. Through the Merch-on-Demand program, more than fifty Fallout-inspired designs are available for purchase such as t-shirts, hoodies, crewneck sweaters, phone cases, PopSockets, hats, and tumblers. More designs are expected to be available soon.
Fallout will be available in more than 240 countries and territories around the world. The series follows the inhabitants of luxury fallout shelters who are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind 200 years after the apocalypse. They are shocked to find an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them. The series comes from Kilter Films and executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. Nolan directed the first three episodes. Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner serve as executive producers, writers and co-showrunners. The series stars Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets), Aaron Moten (Emancipation), Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight), and Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks).
