Baby Shark celebrates the Lunar New Year

The Pinkfong Company, the global entertainment company behind the cultural phenomenon Baby Shark, has announced a Lunar New Year celebration at the Korean Cultural Center New York as a signature highlight of Baby Shark’s momentous 10th anniversary year.

The exhibition, “Seollal (Korean Lunar New Year) with Pinkfong in NYC,” showcases The Pinkfong Company’s innovative blend of Korean cultural heritage and contemporary entertainment through a stunning 27-meter wide by 3.4-meter high LED media wall installation. Visitors will join Pinkfong and Baby Shark on a magical journey through Korea’s most treasured landmarks, including the majestic Gyeongbok Palace and the historic Cheomseongdae Observatory, while experiencing traditional Korean Lunar New Year elements such as silk lanterns and lucky bags.

“This exhibition represents a perfect blend of traditional Korean culture and modern family entertainment, and shows how Baby Shark has become a global cultural phenomenon over the past decade,” said Hansol Park, Head of Content Creation at The Pinkfong Company. “We are thrilled to bring this unique celebration to our fans in New York and create unforgettable memories for families during this special holiday season.”

Visitors can experience exclusive 10th anniversary artwork throughout the exhibition and activities, including a commemorative photo wall, puzzle stations, coloring areas, and the Pinkfong Plus app showcase. The immersive experience is enhanced by The Pinkfong Company’s signature music, including the iconic “Baby Shark” song and our Korean traditional music series, which uniquely reimagines classic Western and Eastern songs using traditional Korean instruments.

The celebration will also feature our latest hit, “Pinkfong Cinema Concert 3: Catch the Gingerbread Man,” Pinkfong’s latest sing-along movie series, which has reached the Top 10 Kids Movies on Netflix in 18 countries.

The exhibition, which runs from January 25 to February 1, 2025, is presented in partnership with KCCNY, KOCCA New York Business Center, and the Korea Tourism Organization New York Office. This special installation reflects The Pinkfong Company’s commitment to creating innovative, culturally rich experiences that bring families together through entertainment and education.
