Battersea announces Warren Traeger as new Licensing Manager

Leading animal welfare charity Battersea has announced the appointment of Warren Traeger as its new Licensing Manager, responsible for growing licensing revenue, and working together with its appointed licensing agent The Point.1888. Previously at Dogs Trust in a corporate development role, Warren joins Battersea with many years of licensing experience across retail, licensor and licensee roles.

With a beautiful and fresh style guide, the Battersea licensing programme has seen the Marks and Spencer DTR range of gifts and games nominated as a finalist for a B&LLA award, as well as other ranges of stationery, cards, calendars and dog beds launching this year. With 13 licensees now on board the roll out of additional products across homewares, gifts and pet products is set to expand in 2022.

Battersea will be attending BLE this year, stand C201 opposite The Point.1888. Each day at 10am and 2pm, there will be the opportunity to come and meet a Battersea dog or pop along anytime to join us for a chat and delicious ice cream by Jude’s, which last year launched its Battersea branded ice cream for dogs.

“It is an absolute privilege to join Battersea, with its rich heritage dating back to 1860, as well as global awareness through ITV’s Paul O’Grady’s For the Love of Dogs.” says Warren. “I’m really looking forward to working with the team at The Point.1888 and meeting many existing and new licensees at BLE (Stand C201) to share the exciting plans and opportunities through becoming a Battersea licensee.”

Rosanna Cousins, Retail Manager at The Point.1888, commented, “We’re delighted to welcome Warren on board with the Battersea brand licensing programme at what is such an exciting time for our industry. The success of the ice cream last year is proof that consumers love the Battersea brand and want more ways to engage with it and I cannot wait to work with Warren and the rest of the team on new products.”
