Blonde Sheep Licensing secures global rights for Thyssen Bornemisza National Museum
Blonde Sheep Licensing has become the global master licensee for the prestigious Thyssen Bornemisza National Museum in Madrid, Spain. The partnership brings together the world of art and licensing and will see iconic works from the museum’s collection transformed into a diverse range of licensed products, including but not limited to apparel, accessories, home décor, and more.
The Thyssen Bornemisza National Museum, renowned for its exceptional collection of European and American art spanning from the early Renaissance to the 20th century, has chosen Blonde Sheep Licensing to extend the reach of its masterpieces into new and exciting markets. The expansion of its licensing programme offers an opportunity for a wider audience to experience the beauty of art in innovative ways.
The museum was inaugurated in 1992 and is housed in the Villahermosa Palace, an elegant 18th-century building. The collection was initially amassed by the Thyssen-Bornemisza family, and it was later acquired by the Spanish government to create the museum. Vincent van Gogh, Edgar Degas, Berthe Morisot, Édouard Manet, John Singer Sargent and Paul Cézanne are just a handful of the great artists seen in the museum.
“We are honoured and excited to embark on this collaboration with Thyssen Bornemisza National Museum,” comments Natasha Dyson, founder & CEO at Blonde Sheep Licensing. “By combining the timeless beauty of the museum’s collection with our expertise in licensing, we aim to create high-quality products and integrate art into people’s daily lives.”
Ana Cela, Head of the Museo Thyssen’s Book and Giftshop, comments “By partnering with Blonde Sheep Licensing, we hope to bring the beauty of our collection to a broader audience and foster a greater appreciation for art in diverse and unexpected ways.”
