Brigitte Bardot, women’s prêt-à-porter collections
Family Trademark TLM, the exclusive worldwide master licensee of the Brigitte Bardot brand has announced the arrival of a new prêt-à-porter range, a flagship category of a lifestyle universe already well represented through solid partnerships such as lingerie and swimwear since 2016, and sunglasses since 2020.
This exclusive licence agreement was signed for the Europe region with LPE Licence SAS, a subsidiary of the LPE Group, creator of the French women’s prêt-à-porter brand “La Petite Étoile”.
A legendary icon of French cinema, Brigitte Bardot contributed to the emancipation of women through her authenticity and her quest for freedom, far from the dictates and conventions of the time… A perfect blend of simplicity, frankness and intensity, BB has always been true to herself. With her fabled spontaneity, she has put her strong views across with integrity, even if it means upsetting people. She has always been driven by love, wholehearted and passionate.
The Brigitte Bardot collections will be a modern interpretation of her style from the ’50s to the ’70s and the iconic pieces she wore… From Spring 2024, 80 designs will evoke her unique, free-spirited look, from the marinière to the Bardot collar blouse, from the blouses in broderie anglaise to the ’70s patterned trousers.
Initially, distribution will focus on the European wholesale market; this will be followed by an ambitious international roll-out and a digital roll-out.
“With her magnetism, her freshness and her deceptively casual look, her image is very current. We wanted to celebrate this legacy of French feminine style with a line bearing her name,” explains Karim Meflah of LPE Licences.
“We are delighted with this new partnership which will bring the world of Brigitte Bardot to the prêt-à-porter sector. The decision to entrust this licence to LPE was motivated by our shared passion for Brigitte Bardot and by the professionalism of the LPE team. The collections will be inspired by the strong, modern values of the brand, a joyful sensuality and a natural and authentic ultra-femininity,” says Tanguy Toulemonde, CEO of Family Trademark TLM.
