DeAPlaneta Entertainment Acquires Milo; Becomes Sole Owner

Since its premiere in 2021 on the British channel Milkshake!, MILO has become one of the most successful preschool franchises on an international scale. It is also one of DeAPlaneta Entertainment’s flagship IPs: a didactic, attractive, entertaining and carefully crafted series that fully represents the qualities that identify the company’s productions.

Recently, DeAPlaneta Entertainment completed the acquisition of MILO, reaching an agreement with Fourth Wall Entertainment to become the sole owner of the brand, whose audience spans more than 170 countries on four continents and which in 2024 debuted in the United States through public television broadcaster PBS Kids.

Diego Ibáñez Belaustegui, Chief Brand Officer en DeAPlaneta Entertainment, has expressed his satisfaction with the acquisition and the promising future that awaits MILO: “This is excellent news to start celebrating the company’s twenty-five years, as this agreement will allow us to work more efficiently on the interactive and digital side of the brand, as well as explore new forms of collaboration and international co-production based on its global broadcasting”.

The announcement coincides with the confirmation of MILO‘s third season, which will begin development in the first quarter of 2025, continuing the colorful adventures of the charismatic kitty and his friends Lofty and Lark, always exploring the wide variety of vocations that exist in the world and transmitting to the show’s millions of fans the message that all jobs are AMAZING. 

The DeAPlaneta Entertainment team will showcase MILO and its other IPs January 28-February 1 at Spielwarenmesse, the Nuremberg toy fair, and February 9-12 at Kidscreen Summit in San Diego, a key market for the children’s entertainment industry and for the expansion of the company’s U.S. brands.
