Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense and Sport Club Internacional to Open Licensed Resorts in Brazil

In collaboration with BR Resorts, Laghetto Hotels, and Fama Licensing, Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense and Sport Club Internacional, two of the largest soccer teams in Brazil, each one with more than 9 million supporters, will unveil two revolutionary resorts in 2027. These resorts will provide dedicated infrastructure for football enthusiasts while still offering a wide range of leisure activities. In the near future, other major clubs from the Southeast and Northeast of Brazil will also provide this incredible opportunity to their devoted fans.

Located in São Francisco de Paula, a picturesque town in the Rio Grande do Sul mountains, each of these two resorts will feature 461 well-appointed apartments, a comprehensive family-oriented leisure area, a sports bar, and an official football field where passionate fans can put their skills to the test. This pioneering initiative will require an investment of approximately R$ 1 billion by 2027, with construction slated to commence in six months. The core of this endeavor is brand licensing, where clubs grant permission to use their brands in exchange for royalties. Fabiano Veronezi, the CEO of Fama Licensing, confirms this. The agency has collaborated closely with the clubs for two years to establish brand licensing agreements for the real estate industry. Veronezi highlights that this is one of the biggest contracts for football brand licensing globally, involving significant figures and being unique in nature. According to the executive, this signifies a new level of exploration in brand licensing and a truly impactful licensing agreement.
