Orphan Black Partnership between Boat Rocker and Heathside
Boat Rocker announces a new licensing deal with Heathside Trading Ltd (Heathside) for its hugely successful Orphan Black franchise in the UK, Europe and USA.
The agreement will see Heathside launch a range of Orphan Black and Orphan Black: Echoes products from Q4 2024 onwards through selected retail partners across fan memorabilia, collectables and gift categories. Products include trading cards, action figures, vinyl figures, drinkware, slime and 2D and 3D backpack keychains
Boat Rocker’s landmark drama series Orphan Black launched in 2013 and ran for five seasons. It starred Tatiana Maslany as a woman who discovers that she is a clone and that someone is plotting to kill her and her clone “sisters”. Maslany won an Emmy Award for her performance.
The much awaited 10-part spin-off series Orphan Black: Echoes, starring Krysten Ritter and Keeley Hawes, launched on ITVX in May to great popular and critical acclaim. Set in the near future, Orphan Black: Echoes takes a deep dive into the exploration of the scientific manipulation of human existence. It follows a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives and embark on a thrilling journey, unravelling the mystery of their identity and uncovering a wrenching story of love and betrayal. ITVX recently announced that Orphan Black: Echoes drew a notably strong audience in June.
The series recently launched on AMC and BBC America in the U.S. to a strong audience response and has been sold to NBCU’s Syfy channel where it will air across multiple EMEA territories.
