Engagement ring predictions for 2025

Emma Fox from Pandora UK has shared what we can expect to see in the world of engagement rings for this coming year.

Lab-Grown Diamonds

“As eco-conscious and budget-savvy decisions shape consumer choices, lab-grown diamonds are set to dominate. Offering the same brilliance as mined diamonds but at a fraction of the cost, these ethical options make luxurious styles more accessible.”

Birthstone Rings

“Personalised jewellery continues to rise in popularity, and birthstone engagement rings are leading the charge. Incorporating a partner’s birthstone or a gem with special significance adds a meaningful, colourful twist to traditional designs.”

Oval cut rings

“Oval engagement rings were the most searched-for style in 2024, signalling their continued popularity into 2025. With their timeless charm, flattering shape, and ability to enhance a stone’s brilliance, they’ve become a go-to choice for couples seeking a perfect balance of elegance and modernity.”

Distinctive centre stones

“In 2025, colourful centre stones are taking centre stage in engagement rings, with emerald green emerging as a standout choice. Inspired by the rich hues of nature and cultural influences like the film Wicked, this bold shade adds drama and sophistication to any ring.”

Mixed metals

“Combining different metals, such as white gold, rose gold, and platinum, is becoming a major trend in engagement ring designs. This versatile approach adds depth, contrast, and a modern twist to traditional styles. Whether it’s a subtle blend of metals in the band or a bold combination around the centre stone, mixed metals offer a unique, customisable look that pairs well with both classic and contemporary settings.”
