The London Studio and Olympia Le-Tan announce partnership

Art licensing and design studio The London Studio has announced a collaboration with Parisian fashion-house Olympia Le-Tan® for an exciting new range of high-end clutches and designer evening bags. These stylish accessories will feature designs from The London Studio’s new retro-inspired brand called Dreamadelic.

The range will be previewed during Paris Fashion Week, an annual week-long fashion industry event where the latest collections are highlighted in runway fashion shows to buyers and the media. Paris Fashion Week takes place from 23-29 January 2025. The launch into retail is planned for fall-winter 2025, a fashion season that takes place between summer and autumn.

The brand Olympia Le-Tan® will be hand-embroidering Dreamadelic designs onto its luxury clutches and evening bags, a process that can take up to 300 hours. The Dreamadelic collection by The London Studio will join the unforgettable creations that adorn a brand of designer bags often seen on the arms of celebrities including Reece Witherspoon, Emma Watson, Natalie Portman, Chiara Ferragni, Miranda Kerr, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Sigourney Weaver, Cardi B, Clémence Poésy and many others.

The London Studio’s inspiration for Dreamadelic stems from the current trend for retro 1960s and 1970s psychedelia design, most notably in posters and record cover designs, but they have given it a modern twist. The effect is to bring the dreamlike imagery associated with the innovative and experimental music, culture and art of the 1960s and 1970s together with the flair and wit of the 2020s, producing a unique artform, one that is perfect for the originality and design philosophy of the Olympia Le-Tan® brand.

Founded by Gregory Bernard and Olympia Le-Tan in 2009, the Olympia Le-Tan brand reimagines literary classics, art pieces, film covers, and other cultural pieces, transforming them into coveted artisanal clutches and accessories. From the original hand embroidery to the Liberty-printed lining, every detail is carefully considered. The brand Olympia Le-Tan® collaborates with artists and designers on its bags to create limited edition collections, each handcrafted.

The London Studio already has a strong reputation for unique and highly creative in-house brands like the vibrant Sweet & Wild, the well-being-themed Note to Self, the funny and imaginative What Cats do When We Aren’t Looking and the unique designs and positive vibes of The Happiness Club, many of which now appear on cards, calendars and apparel. This agreement is the latest tribute to the creativity of The London Studio’s in-house team of skilled and inventive artists.

Margot Maffre, Project Manager, at Olympia Le-Tan®, says: “The witty combination of the familiar and the strikingly different that underpins Dreamadelic makes it an ideal addition to our brand reimaginings of art, literature, movies, music and more. We are expecting a very positive response to this inspired and original design concept.”

Independent licensing sales consultant Maggy Harris of BlueSkye Licensing helped to broker the deal with The London Studio. Maggy Harris says: ‘’I’m delighted to have brokered this exciting licensing agreement and long-term relationship between two fabulous and creative art houses. I’m look forward enormously to seeing the wonderful Dreamadelic designs come to life through the unique and fabulous expertise of the brand Olympia Le-Tan®.”

Founder and director of The London Studio Soula Zavacopoulos adds: “It has been a joy seeing the incredible brand Olympia Le-Tan® translate our intricate Dreamadelic collection into hand-crafted and hand-embroidered bags, where each stitch takes the place of an artist’s paintbrush, recreating the art as embroidery. Simply exquisite!””
