The London Studio expands its collaboration with Carousel Calendars
Art licensing and design studio The London Studio has announced two more collaborations with Carousel Calendars, the largest calendar publisher and distributor in the UK.
Following the success of its bespoke artwork for the 2024 RSPB Family Organiser, published by Carousel Calendars, The London Studio has been commissioned again for the 2025 edition. Anna Andrews, a member of The London Studio group of artists and a professional illustrator and book designer for over 20 years well-known for her art celebrating the natural world, is again creating the designs for a Family Organiser that celebrates the largest nature conservation charity in the country. The 2024 theme is Reflections. The theme for 2025 will be Woodland.
But that’s not all! The London Studio has a strong reputation for unique and highly creative in-house brands and Carousel has licensed one of its newest – The Happiness Club – for a 2024 Happiness Planner diary and wall calendar.
Full of witty, colourful artwork and positive quotes with effective prompts and techniques to help people get more out of each day, the Happiness Club brand combines unique designs and positive vibes in an inspiring and uplifting way. In fact the early response to the 2024 Happiness Club diary and calendar has been so good that Carousel has already licensed the brand for next year – with plans to expand distribution from the UK to worldwide for the 2025 edition!
These two agreements underline the quality, flexibility and diversity that underpin the work of The London Studio, a creative hub that develops its own brands, supports and licenses art and artists in the UK and US, and works with its own dedicated team of talented and highly original artists to support a wide range of projects.
Carousel Calendars is the UK’s largest and most diversified calendar publishing business, offering a huge selection of over 1,000 titles to a range of clients, from large grocers and high street retailers to bookshops and small independents.
The company is committed to lowering its carbon footprint and is already carbon neutral for all direct emissions. Paper for 95 per cent of its products is sourced from FSC-accredited suppliers. Removing plastic from the packaging of its products is another top priority: Carousel has expanded the number of products that use plastic-free packaging year-on-year.
Louisa Skevington, Product Licensing Manager, RSPB: “We are delighted to be working with The London Studio & Anna Andrews for a second year for our RSPB Household Planner. Anna’s bright, characterful style works really well for the family audience of the calendar, and this year’s Reflections theme has been an engaging way to represent some fantastic species found along our rivers and coasts. The Woodland theme for 2025 is another wonderful celebration of UK wildlife and we are looking forward to seeing the response from our customers.”
Founder and director of The London Studio Soula Zavacopoulos says: “It’s always rewarding to be able to show clients the diversity of our offering, and our latest work with Carousel Calendars has been a wonderful opportunity to do show our strengths both as a hub for artists and as a brand creator. We are thrilled to be collaborating with this major name in calendar publishing on these two very different – and very exciting – projects.”
