The Pinkfong Company Celebrates 10 Years on YouTube with 71 Creator Awards Milestone
The Pinkfong Company, the global entertainment company behind the global phenomenon “Baby Shark Dance” – YouTube’s first and only video to surpass 10 billion views – today announced that the company is celebrating its 10th anniversary on YouTube with the milestone of 71 Creator Awards, highlighting a decade of leadership in children’s digital entertainment.
Since its YouTube debut in 2014, The Pinkfong Company has evolved alongside the platform that has become the premier destination for young audiences worldwide with kids-friendly songs and stories. According to Nielsen’s The Gauge report, YouTube has claimed 10.4% of total TV usage in the United States in July 2024, marking the first time a streaming platform has crossed the 10% threshold and topped Nielsen’s monthly viewing rankings, surpassing traditional streaming services and broadcast networks.
This achievement includes 1 Custom Creator Award (50 million subscribers), 7 Diamond Creator Awards (10 million subscribers), 23 Gold Creator Awards (1 million subscribers), and 40 Silver Creator Awards (100,000 subscribers). At this milestone, the company’s total channel views surpassed 120 billion, which is equivalent to the world’s population of 8 billion people watching its content 15 times each.
“This milestone reflects our commitment to creating engaging content for families worldwide,” says Min Seok Kim, CEO of The Pinkfong Company. “We will continue to provide differentiated content and establish ourselves as a global family entertainment company across various platforms beyond YouTube.”
This record was achieved through a diverse IP line-up. Starting with the Pinkfong English channel’s Custom Creator Award (the first among Korean content creators), Diamond Creator Awards were achieved by the Pinkfong Korean, Pinkfong Spanish, Bebefinn English, Baby Shark English, Hogi English, and Bebefinn Spanish channels. It is significant that 3 of the 7 Diamond Creator Awards were achieved this year alone, ahead of Baby Shark’s 10th anniversary in 2025.
Notably, the company’s multilingual channels are growing rapidly worldwide, with year-over-year viewership increases of 1299% for French, 1005% for German, 630% for Portuguese, 405% for Indonesian, 380% for Italian and 360% for Hindi.
