The World of The Snowman

To celebrate 40 years of THE SNOWMAN™ and 10 years of THE SNOWMAN™ AND THE SNOWDOG film adaptations, Penguin Ventures (the licensing and consumer products division of Penguin Random House Children’s) has partnered with ODEON to bring the festive films to cinemas nationwide this winter.  

The hour-long theatrical screening will offer families the chance to experience the magic of The World of The Snowman like never before, with a double-bill of both film adaptions, at ODEON cinemas this festive season.   Inspired by the late Raymond Briggs’ timeless picture book, The Snowman, these iconic characters continue to be an intrinsic part of family celebrations each Christmas.

The theatrical re-release will be launched at ODEON Leicester Square in London where celebrity families and popular UK influencers will be invited to attend an exclusive premiere event to promote the anniversary screenings across the UK.  Guests will be treated to festive fun in the foyer activities, followed by the double-bill screening.

This winter, Penguin Random House Children’s will be celebrating Ten Years of Friendship and Fun with THE SNOWMAN AND THE SNOWDOG as well as marking 40 years of THE SNOWMAN animation.  A series of special events and digital activations will ensure that families and fans can celebrate with THE WORLD OF THE SNOWMAN, wherever they are, this festive season.
