Zinkia Looks Forward to a Busy MIP

From 15th to 16th October, Zinkia will be present at MIPJunior, an event dedicated to children’s content, held in Cannes, France, it has announced. A new appointment with the content and entertainment market, marked by the 20th Anniversary of Pocoyó, its most emblematic brand and one of the biggest references in children’s entertainment. Twenty years in which Zinkia has managed to get Pocoyó seen in more than 150 countries, among the channels of free-to-air TV, cable TV, VOD, and its OTT platforms in the United States.

Throughout this time, Zinkia has not missed its traditional appointment with MIPCOM, where Pocoyó was presented two decades ago. This year it will once again serve as a stage to present the latest projects on which the company is working. Among them is the recent release of their new production “Yanco, Dina and the Dinosaurs”, the company’s first original project in 15 years. Aimed at an audience between 6 and 8 years old, the story gives a fun twist to pirate stories and replaces the treasure with dinosaur eggs. It will feature a series of animations for TV and platforms as well as specific content for YouTube and mobile.

Zinkia is working on the production of the fifth season of Pocoyó. The first episodes are expected to be available in the second half of 2023. The producer is also working on new IPs such as “Bumpy: the Bear”, made in traditional animation and with 52 episodes of 7 minutes planned.
