ZURU Toys Welcomes Key Marketing Hires to Drive Global Growth

ZURU Toys announces the appointment of two leading marketing professionals to its dynamic and growing team. These strategic hires underscore ZURU’s commitment to innovation and digital excellence as it continues its drive into the Top 5 supplier rankings across all key markets.

As a trailblazer in the digital space, ZURU Toys drives record engagement and scales its brands through powerful platforms like TikTok where is has amassed over 20 billion content views on its toy brands. Its early adoption of TikTok, driving +6 billion views of Mini Brands content, jettisoning the brand to #2 and #3 items in USA in 2022 and starting the mini collectible trend. It is doubling down in this space by bringing on another 10 in house content creators, forging new partnerships with 100’s of external content creators and influencers and levelling up the depth of its relationships with TikTok and Google; all spearheaded by the new leadership team.

Corey Roman has joined ZURU as the new Chief Marketing Officer based in Los Angeles. With 15 years of extensive experience in the toy industry, Corey brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of success. Previously serving as SVP of Marketing at MGA for three years and VP of Marketing at Moose Toys, Corey’s career also includes eight years in senior marketing roles at Jakks Pacific. Corey’s entrepreneurial spirit and deep understanding of the North American and international retail markets make her an pivotal new addition to ZURU. Her strong relationships with key marketing and buying stakeholders further enhance ZURU’s ability get its latest innovations into more hands globally.

Rob Thomas has also recently joined ZURU as Head of Digital leading ZURU’s in-house media agency. Rob joins ZURU with a wealth of global media experience. Having led global digital media planning for PHD, one of the world’s largest agencies. Rob brings unparalleled expertise to ZURU’s digital initiatives across Google, TikTok as well as retail media platforms. ZURU is 100% digitally focused in its communications strategy and Rob will lead a team of 30 digital specialists to run and optimize +$100m of spend across the biggest platforms globally.
